Voluntary Health Organizations
Nonprofit, nongovernmental agencies that are organized on a national, provincial or local basis and supported primarily by voluntary contributions from the public at large, which are engaged in a program of service, education and research that relates to a particular disease, condition or disability or group of diseases, conditions or disabilities. The primary activity of voluntary health organizations is to raise funds for health related research.
