Description (Service)

Peer support for families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby up to 12 months of age

  • in-person mixed loss groups: various locations across Ontario
  • loss specific online peer-led support groups, including first trimester, second trimester, third trimester, infant/neonatal loss, loss due to SUID, termination for medical reasons and support after an abortion
  • one-to-one telephone support
  • additional online support groups, including trying to conceive, pregnancy after loss, parenting through loss, partners in loss, support for grandparents, Indigenous Circle of Support, Black African Canadian and Caribbean Support and Support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community
  • health-care provider education
  • public education and advocacy
  • all supports are provided by peer support volunteers who have lived experiences of pregnancy and infant loss
