Description (Service) For the latest information on self-isolation, symptoms, testing and what to do if you are exposed to COVID-19, please visit: ontario.ca/exposed 
* if you have symptoms (even if mild) associated with COVID-19, you must self-isolate, regardless of your vaccination status 
* if you are experiencing severe symptoms (trouble breathing or chest pain), please go to your nearest Emergency Department or call 911 
* use Ontario’s Antiviral Screener Tool or speak to your health care provider to find out if you are eligible for COVID-19 antiviral treatments

When to get Tested

Use the online Self-Assessment tools to find out if you can get tested and where 
* COVID-19 self-assessment tool 
* COVID-19 school and child care screening tool (for staff and students) 
* COVID-19 worker and employee screening 
 
Members of the general public with mild symptoms are asked not to seek testing 
* if you are not eligible for a test but have symptoms of COVID-19, assume that you have the virus and visit ontario.ca/exposed for isolation instructions

Home Testing

* available for clients with a physical or mental disability and are unable to get to a testing facility 
* clients should speak to their health care provider for a referral for home COVID-19 testing 
 

Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT)

* COVID-19 tests that can give results quickly, do not require processing by a lab, and can be done at home 
 
The Province has expanded the availability of free RATs for personal use and, depending on supply, are now available through the following options 
* participating pharmacies and grocery stores 
* elementary and secondary schools (provided by the Province) 
* incorporated small and medium-sized businesses may be eligible to receive rapid tests from a Health Canada-authorized pharmacy 
* eligible businesses may apply to participate in the Provincial Antigen Screening Program 
 

Where to get Assessment

Currently there is only one clinical assessment center in Halton 
* individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms and cannot access a family physician can visit care-clinics.ca to book an appointment for assessment at the Milton COVID, Cold and Flu Care Clinic

* all patients are welcome, you don’t need to have a family doctor or a health card (if you do have a health card please bring it)

This clinic is for individuals who: 
* have moderate cold, flu or COVID-like symptoms and have been directed by their primary care provider; or 
* need to see a physician to assess their symptoms and recommend next steps (including getting a prescription for antivirals, if eligible); or 
* do not have or cannot see their primary care provider and are unwell
