Description (Service)

Provides a range of free mental health services for children and youth from birth to 17, as well as their families

Group based services include:

  • 2SLGBTQIA+: Queer@ROCK provides prevention-based programming and supports for 2SLGBTQIA+ children, youth, and families through ROCK

  • Intensive Groups for Children and Youth: offers school focused treatment and counselling for clients/youth in elementary school and day treatment for secondary students who are enrolled in ROCK Live In Treatment or Intensive Counselling Service programs

  • Parent/Caregiver Groups: Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) Caregiver Group offers 2 full days of psycho-education that guide parents/caregivers to be agents of healing and for supporting their loved one with their mental health

  • Self-esteem and Body Image: Danielle’s Place offers an eating disorder prevention program that provides prevention and early intervention services for children and youth aged 8-17

  • Social Skills: offers a number of groups and services for children and youth ages 7-17

  • Summer Camps: provides a range of summer camps in Halton during July and August for children and youth aged 8-16

  • Therapeutic Groups for Children and Youth: provide support and treatment targeting specific problems to children, youth, and their parents/caregivers from infants to 17 years of age
